Fedeltà è cambiamento. La svolta di Francesco raccontata da vicino - Rai Eri

What is changing in the Church and how? What are the new Pope's intentions and what is his role as an innovator of an institution such as the Church that has existed for thousands of years? The first revolution of the Pope, who comes "from the ends of the earth", is a formal change that has profound and  significant implications: it is in the gestures and words with which he has shown himself to be the "Pope who calls for Dialogue", able to accommodate everyone. Francesco, in fact, speaks to the whole world using the codes of intimacy and familiarity. He began by using the words "good evening" with which he greeted the crowd as soon as he was elected and by choosing the name of the Saint of Assisi, to then continue with the invitation to "build bridges and not walls", or with expressions such as "the shepherd must have the same odor as his sheep". But his proclamation immediately becomes the norm, intervention, behavior: he dreams of "a poor Church for the poor" and he tangibly opens the doors of the Vatican for the poor. This book illustrates the Pope's communication revolution from a unique point of view: that of someone who has the assignment of "describing the man", accompanying him in his ceremonies, in his audiences, his trips such as his most recent one to Cuba and the USA about which he writes in these pages. Dario Edoardo Viganò, Prefect of the Secretariat for Vatican Communication, gives us a first-hand look at the choices and events by means of which the successor to Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, the first Jesuit and South American Pope, is introducing a profound change destined to redesign not only the Church but also the entire society, in the meaning of the Gospel.
